Ernest C. Simmons catapulted above the local art scene in 1980 when his vivid portrait of Pintail Ducks in flight was chosen a winner in the Florida Duck Stamp Competition.  He was the youngest artist ever to win a duck stamp contest in this country.    Ernest has become a well-known exhibitor in galleries and art festivals throughout the Southeast.   His stunning portraits of birds and other wildlife are known for their fine detail and realism.  Simmons' original art and limited edition prints are widely collected.   In 2007, Ernest Simmons won the "People's Choice Award" at the Wildlife & Western Visions Art Show in St. Petersburg, Florida.  For more information about the work of Ernest C.
